Lovely Miss WHISKERS is a Beautiful Sweet Domestic Long Hair/Maine Coon type Cat that needs a hom e ASAP!

Whiskers' Adoption Profile: Friendly, Fun, Lap Sitter, Playful, Healthy, Fully vetted, beautiful, and a delight to have around! Will LOVE this girl.

Whiskers is a medium length haired female cat with a chocolate and white coat and an especially beautiful "meow." She is spayed, current on her rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and will be four years old this May.  Upon a recent visit to Ansley Animal Clinic, Whiskers received a negative combo-test.

We know her history thanks to Pet Detectives! Whiskers was originally adopted as a kitten from the Carroll County Animal Shelter in September, 2020, but sadly abandoned by her owner.  Fortunately, Whiskers made her way to a cat colony located on Piedmont Avenue, was spotted by one of the colony caretakers and rescued.  Whiskers had a microchip and her original owner was contacted, but said he could no longer care for her and to please find Whiskers a good home.  We have transferred the chip which will be the registered to a new owner, when one is found. Whiskers is now safe and sound, living with her foster provider his two female cats.

Whiskers favorite activities include sitting in her cat tree and peering out the window, watching for birds and squirrels, playing with her cat toys, especially the mice and cat wand, and taking naps in her cat igloo.

While Whiskers gets along with her two new much older feline roommates, she can be more playful and energetic than they are able to tolerate, therefore Whiskers is probably best suited as a single pet, so that she can have the full run of her new home.

Whiskers expresses affection by giving licks, hopping up onto her foster's lap and sleeping next to him in bed. She doesn't require lots of petting and might swat or snap if she is over-stimulated.  This comes with the breed! Whiskers would be best suited for a calm, peaceful household, with adults who can maintain a balance between showing her love and respecting her personal space.  After a rough life outside competing for food, She would not be a fit for a household with small children or other pets.

Whiskers is a loving, beautiful cat, looking for a second chance at a forever home.  Thank you for giving her your consideration.
